Saga Dawa Festival Tour Details

The Saga Dawa Festival Tour and Mount Kailash Adventure offer a unique experience to those seeking spiritual enlightenment and a deep connection with nature. Taking place in 2024, this extraordinary pilgrimage combines the sacredness of Mount Kailash with the festivities of Saga Dawa. On this tour, we will explore the significance of the Saga Dawa Festival and the enchanting journey around Mount Kailash.

The Saga Dawa Festival is an annual event celebrated by Buddhists to honour the life and teachings of the Buddha. It takes place on the full moon day of the fourth lunar month, which usually falls in May or June. The festival holds great significance as it marks the birth, enlightenment, and death of Buddha, making it a deeply spiritual time for practitioners.

During the Saga Dawa Festival, devotees flock to Mount Kailash, the towering peak in the Tibetan plateau. This sacred mountain, also known as Gang Rinpoche, is considered the abode of Lord Shiva in Hinduism and the epicentre of the universe in Buddhist cosmology. The whole area surrounding Mount Kailash exudes a mystical energy, attracting thousands of pilgrims from Tibet, India, and beyond.
